In Endless mode, the player attempts to complete this task during a speed round. Sandrix offers three gameplay modes (Endless, High Score and Clear 40). The shape colors include blue, green, red and yellow. The player must direct the next shape to drop on top of any sand pile with a matching color. Yet, when the blocks make contact with the bottom of the screen, they break apart into sand and form a sand pile. The player can still rotate the block shapes and make them drop down the screen faster. ![]() The game's mechanics mostly match Tetris. ![]() Instead of a player arranging polyomino block shapes to remove wall-to-wall rows of horizontal blocks, they must place the blocks to remove horizontal lines of pixel-shaped grains of sand. Sandrix is a block-puzzle alternative to the classic Tetris game that features an interesting idea. ![]()
